Newcastle, New South Wales
The Jesmond Park Disc Golf Course first opened to the public in 2011. In 2012, the Newcastle Disc Golf Club requested DiscGolfPark to upgrade their course with an InfoBoard and two sets of tee signs. After the club acquired support from the City of Newcastle, the signs were installed in January 2013.
DiscGolfPark designed two sets of TeeSigns for the 9 basket course, one for the shorter blue layout (Par 27, 632m) and one for the longer red layout (Par 28, 706m). With two layouts now clearly signed, the course is very easy for new players to find and play. The large InfoBoard is also easily visible from the park’s main carpark, inviting more and more people to try out disc golf every day.
The course has seen an increasing number of players since the installation of the signs, as well as increased exposure in the local media. DiscGolfPark is proud to have played a vital part in ensuring a safe and well utilised disc golf course in Newcastle.
