What is disc golf?

DSC_7856Disc golf, is played with similar rules to traditional golf. Instead of hitting a ball with a club, players throw a disc (Frisbee) from a designated tee to an elevated metal basket to complete each “hole” in the least number of throws. The winner of a round of disc golf is the player who completes the course in the fewest number of throws.

Disc golf is easy to learn for all players regardless of age and ability, yet it is infinitely challenging to master. Disc golf is also inexpensive to play. You can play with only one disc, which costs $10. Most courses are free to play and are located in urban parks and recreational areas.

Disc Golf Courses

Disc golf courses are great installations for city parks and private owners (resorts, campgrounds, ski resorts, etc.), they can be built just about anywhere. Anyone can play disc golf. Courses can be installed in existing parks, recreational areas, or even thick forests. A professionally designed disc golf course preserves the aesthetic qualities of the land and allows for a variety of holes that range between 50 and 200 meters.
